Refund & Return Policy

The House Designers offers a one-time 30-day exchange policy for non-electronic plan packages for plans that have not been modified, used, marked, or copied. PDFs, CAD files, Study/Review Sets, PDF Bid Sets and modified house plans are not returnable or exchangeable. In addition, permitted exchanges are subject to a 20% restocking fee and all sales of house plans, including those requiring modification customizations, and all customization/modifications are final and not returnable for any reason. After purchasing plans, be sure to review the contents of your order immediately. If you have any questions, concerns or issues about your order, you must contact a THD representative in writing within 30 days of the date of your purchase. In the event of a permitted exchange, your order must be returned to THD within 30 days of the date of purchase and note that returned blueprints that look used, redlined or copied are not exchangeable. Once we receive and inspect your returned physical plan set, your exchange credit will be immediately available to purchase a new set of house plans. Refunds due to hardships, defective items and customer remorse are subject to review and if approved, a refund will be returned to the original payment method.

1. Order Cancellations

• Timeframe: Cancellation requests for printed house plans must be submitted within two (2) hours of purchase to ensure the order has not yet entered our automated fulfillment or printing queue. To request a cancellation, please contact us immediately by calling 866-214-2242.
• Policy Limits: * Digital Products: Once a download link has been issued, the order is considered "consumed" and cannot be canceled.
  
  • Cancellations are only accepted if the request is received before the order has been moved to "Final Production." Once the blueprints have been queued for plotting/printing or the specialized architectural paper has been committed to the print run, the order can no longer be canceled or modified.

2. Returns: Defective, Incorrect, or Damaged Products

• Digital Product Exception: Due to the intellectual property nature of architectural designs, all sales of Digital PDF and CAD Master Files are final. We do not offer refunds or returns on digital products once the download link has been delivered.
• Physical Plan Exchanges: We offer a 30-day exchange window for printed blueprint sets, provided they are in their original, unused, and unmarked condition.
• Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee applies to all physical plan exchanges. This fee covers the cost of proprietary printing and administrative processing.
• Return Shipping: For remorse-based exchanges, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.

3. Returns for Customer Remorse (Exchanges)

4. Refund & Credit Processing

• Timeline: Once we receive and inspect your returned physical plan set, credits will be processed within 1 business day.
• Method: Approved only refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
