About This Plan

I created a modern rendition of the popular U-shaped home; this ranch offers a ground-hugging silhouette, a recessed front porch and a large front-facing bay window, in a relatively narrow footprint. The lovely sunken living room off the foyer has a corner entrance and adjoining formal dining room; only an open railing separates the two rooms, which creates an elegant and spacious formal entertaining area. The dramatic family room includes a sloping cathedral ceiling, a brick-faced, heat-circulating fireplace, sliding doors to the rear patio and a snack bar connecting it to the kitchen.
The perfect kitchen features a spacious work area with cabinets on four walls. The private master suite features an elegant double door entry, a generous walk-in closet and bath. Room for one or two additional bedrooms and a utility area are also included.

The typical plan set does not include any plumbing, HVAC drawings, or engineering stamps due to the wide variety of specific needs, local codes, and climatic conditions. These details and specifications are easily obtained from your builder, contractor, and/or local engineers.
