Designing A Home Theater

When you begin building your dream home you should think about how you want to incorporate a home theater in your design. A home theater system is a combination of electronic components designed to recreate the experience of watching a movie in a theater.  Before you begin selecting a home theater system, you’ll need to decide what room you want to designate as the home theater and how far you want to go. Turning a family room or flexible space into a media/TV room is a lot different than creating a fully functional home theater.

Once you’ve decided “how much” home entertainment you want, you can begin to select the necessary components to create your home theater. Whether you are planning on spending $500 or $50,000 you should spend time understanding what each component does, so you can purchase the right equipment to fulfill your audio and visual needs. Learn how to design a home theater in the latest issue of Home Ideas.
