There are two main types of side-entry garages—those that open to the side of the house and those that are located in front of the façade. A side garage keeps doors out of sight from the street but will require enough room for a driveway to access them. If you need to stick to a tighter footprint, a side-entry garage in front is ideal. No matter your needs or preferences, we have plenty of options to consider!

House Plan 6504 is a contemporary design that places the garage in front with side access to help limit the width of the footprint. It also adds some striking and unique curb appeal with the extended shed rooflines! Inside this 3,228-square-foot design, you'll find tons of vaulted ceilings—in the great room, the master and guest suites, and the office on the first floor, and in the two bedrooms and bonus room upstairs!

House Plan 1249 gives you a lot to appreciate in 4,676 square feet—a two-story living room, a huge island kitchen, formal dining, a study, and five bedrooms split on two levels. But that's not all! The three-car garage on the side connects to the house through a mudroom hallway, which sets it apart from the rest of the floor plan and isolates the man cave upstairs for privacy. It even has its own bar and balcony!
