Duplexes are more popular than many people think! Some choose to build a duplex to lower costs within the family, because it's less expensive to build two homes within the same structure than two separate houses. Others choose to live in one unit and rent out the other to offset the mortgage. Whatever you prefer, you'll find options in all sorts of shapes, sizes, styles, and layouts in our collection!

House Plan 9875 is ideal if you need a duplex that looks like a single family home from the street! Each story is its own unit with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an L-shaped peninsula kitchen beside open living space. You can also enter either unit from either side—the front foyer connects to the main entrance of the first unit and has stairs up to the second, and the back door has a similar setup!

With units of different sizes and layouts, House Plan 9991 allows you to maximize or minimize your own home to make the most of your investment! Unit A comes in at 2,088 square feet and offers a one-car garage, office, and spacious open living on the first floor and three bedrooms upstairs. Unit B has a much narrower layout with 1,561 square feet, open living, and three smaller bedrooms. You can live in and rent out whichever way makes the most sense!
