Simple, flush front facades dominated the styling of many two story homes built fifteen to thirty years ago, and in some regions they are still popular. There is, however, a definite stylistic change occuring; it is called "country", and the country front porch is "in", and is likely to be with us for a long time. Therefore, if you are dreaming of a wrap-around, country-style porch go ahead and do it; you won't have to worry that it will be out of fashion when you decide to sell. In fact, in some regions, one may be out of fashion with their old flush front.
