STEP 9 - INTERIOR FINISHESOne of the most exciting stages of building a new home is selectingall the products that go into each room. This includes flooring,cabinets, countertops, appliances, lighting fixtures, millwork andtrim, interior doors, plumbing products, and much more. Turn on all appliances, lights, the HVACsystem, faucets and showers, and flush toilets and check electricoutlets. Check to see that all your cabinets, doors, and windowsopen, close, and lock properly. Also make sure there aren’t anymajor defects like cracks, scratches, and/or gaps in the floors.
