When it comes to great green designs, Mother Nature's are hard to beat, particularly when it comes to flooring options like wood, bamboo, cork and wool. Wood floors will keep you warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. The same is true for wool, cotton or natural sisal carpets. An added benefit to using nature's products when building your new home is that you will eliminate most of the unhealthy off-gassing that plagues new home construction.
