Innovative New Home Products

Green Home Building on the Rise
McGraw-Hill Construction recently released key findings from a new Green Home Builders and Remodelers study at the International Builders' Show (IBS) in Orlando. According to the study, green homes comprised 17% of the overall residential construction market in 2011 and are expected reach between 29% and 38% of the home market by 2016. In terms of value, this means the residential building market could reach $87 to $114 billion in 2016, as opposed to $17 billion in 2011. Many builders expect that 90% of their projects will be dedicated to green home building techniques and products, which is great news for everyone, especially designers and architects who are committed to sustainable design and building practices.
