This is one of three easements held by the Los Angeles Conservancy.<span style=\"font-size: 11px; line-height: 17px; font-weight: normal;\">.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The real house used for the exteriors is located at 1329 Carroll Avenue in Angelino Heights, Los Angeles. And while many may know it as the Halliwell Manor it&#8217;s real name is the Innes House. It was built for councilman Daniel Innes, a socially prominent city councilman and real estate developer.\u00a0 The Innes family lived in the home for nearly forty years before selling the property in 1920, who owned if for another fifty years. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/articles\/latest-trends-styles.asp\">home&#8217;s exterior<\/a> features tailored, rectangular lines, emphasized by vertical grooves with decorative wood trim and classic <strong>Victorian<\/strong> details. Inside the house you will find classic <i>Victorian<\/i> style with a double parlor.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8392\" aria-labelledby=\"figcaption_attachment_8392\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 491px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-2.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[8122]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8392 \" title=\"Innes House Windows\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-2.jpg\" alt=\"Innes House Plan 2\" width=\"491\" height=\"369\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-2.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-2-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"figcaption_attachment_8392\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The windows of the Innes House are accented with stained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/articles\/choosing-the-right-glass.asp\">glass<\/a>\u00a0and beautifully detailed millwork.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the 1950s, many of the Angelino Heights mansions proved too expensive for residents to maintain.\u00a0 During the 1970s the area underwent a renaissance and many of the original properties were purchased by new owners who did historical restoration on them. The neighborhood remains highly intact and Angelino Heights represents the largest concentration of <u>Victorian<\/u> homes remaining in Los Angeles.\u00a0 Carroll Avenue\u2019s 1300 block was listed as a National Register Historic District in 1976 and later became Los Angeles\u2019 first Historic Preservation Overlay Zone in 1983. Today, the Los Angeles Conservancy holds an easement that protects the home\u2019s exterior fa\u00e7ade as well as interior features that include woodwork, hardware, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/articles\/interior-trim-finishing-ideas.asp\">decorative details.<\/a><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8393\" aria-labelledby=\"figcaption_attachment_8393\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 491px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-3.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[8122]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8393  \" title=\"Innes House Plan Entryway\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-3.jpg\" alt=\"Innes House Plan 3\" width=\"491\" height=\"369\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-3.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Innes-House-Plan-3-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"figcaption_attachment_8393\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/articles\/designing-your-front-entryway.asp\">entryway<\/a> to the Innes House is beautifully decorated with French doors and stained glass details.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Even with all its history this house plan is probably best known as the residence of the Charmed Ones. \u00a0If you happen to be in Los Angeles and want to take a tour of this historic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehousedesigners.com\/victorian-house-plans\/\">Victorian house plan<\/a>, walking tours walking tours are offered the first Saturday of every month.
